ABOUT THE CLUB

The SD Bear Bowbender Archery Club was first formed in 1977. The first founding members were
John Owings, Derrall Minor, Doug Wagner, Larry Rosenbaum & Rodney Rosenbaum.

The first indoor range was located above the electric company in Elk Point, SD.
The membership fees at that time were $2.00 per person.

Our current indoor archery range was built in the summer of 1983.
The very first indoor tournament was held February 5, 1984.

In 1987, Larry's Archery Barn Pro Shop was established to provide
archery equipment, accessories and supplies. Larry Rosenbaum, owner, is also
on-hand to assist you with all of your archery needs - from tuning your bow,
helping you with your shooting form, to repairs of your archery equipment.

The indoor range is located 3 miles West of Jefferson, SD on 330th St.
The outdoor range is located 3 miles West on 330th St. and 3 miles South on 478th Ave.

Currently, our club actively holds field rounds, 300 round shoots,
indoor/outdoor 3D tournaments and leagues.
